We are currently inviting applications from motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Research Postgraduate (RPg) students for 2026/27 admission!

Our group focuses on multiple disciplines including but not limited to ultrasound, nanophotonics, soft materials, energy materials, quantum materials​, microfludics, tackling fundamental challenges and facilitating technology transfer for impactful real-world applications.

As part of our team, you’ll collaborate in an interdisciplinary, dynamic, and supportive environment that fosters curiosity, rigor, and creativity.

Outstanding full-time PhD applicants may be eligible for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme, which offers:

  • ✅ Waiver of composition fees for the whole normative study period
  • ✅ Research support and travel funding
  • ✅ A guaranteed hall place in Year 1, with possibility of renewal
